We are two working movement directors who have been marvelling at the vitality and influence of movement direction on the British theatre scene.

 

We also noticed this incredible creativity has not necessarily been matched by growth in infrastructure.  We felt it was timely to have a professional body, led by movement directors, to instigate change and build a community that extends across practice in opera, theatre, film and television.

 

We are delighted to be leading the Association with the support of an inspirational set of movement directors also known as the MDA Steering Group.
